January styrene
Market sources reported that January styrene contracts have settled in Europe. The new settlement has been agreed at €1365/ton ($1490/ton with the recent parity), down slightly by €5/ton ($5/ton) from December.
The contract decreased for the third consecutive month, tracking lower prices in the spot styrene market in December. Meanwhile, January contracts for ethylene settled with rollovers at €1185/ton ($1310/ton) while benzene contracts settled €11/ton ($12/ton) higher at €803/ton ($889/ton).
