Egypt’s local PVC producer, EPC,
announced its new offers for the second half of the month with EGP4,500/ton ($145/ton) increases compared to the initial January levels.
Accordingly,
the producer’s offers stand at EGP52,500/ton ($1699/ton) for PVC K67-68, on ex-warehouse Alexandria, cash excl. VAT basis.
A company source referred to firming USD/EGP exchange on parallel market, firming as well as hammered imports and high replenishing costs as main reasons behind price increases.
“Operations and deliveries are normal to the market while the producer remains free of stock pressure,”
the source added.
